Sanctions & Contractual Risk
Which voyages and counterparties carry sanctions or charter-party risk?
Moves from AIS vessel data and charter parties to risk-ranked flags, so compliance teams see which voyages, vessels and counterparties need attention first. The sample dashboard screens 12 vessels and 34 contracts under monitoring, with 13 open high-risk flags and an average of 2.4 days to resolve a flag.
- Composite risk score by vessel
- High-risk port calls and STS transfers over time
- Register filtered by signal, including overlooked alerts
- Actions that flow to the compliance team
- Duration: 4–6 weeks for an outcome-based POC
How the AI works. A risk model combines AIS vessel data and charter-party terms into a composite score, ranks vessels and counterparties, and surfaces overlooked alerts, such as a screening hit left unreviewed in the queue, with the next action attached to every row.
A composite risk score ranks each vessel, and a trend shows high-risk port calls and ship-to-ship transfers over six months. A register filters by signal (critical, elevated, clear, and signals overlooked) and attaches the action to each row: a compliance hold, enhanced due diligence, legal review or escalation. It also surfaces the match that sat unreviewed in the queue, such as a screening hit on a newly onboarded charterer flagged 18 days earlier.
