EDG and EDGE Grant Singapore 2026

What is the EDG grant — and what changes under EDGE in 2026?

A plain-English explainer for Singapore transformation projects.

Overview

What to know first.

The Enterprise Development Grant supports eligible Singapore company-transformation projects, including qualifying third-party consultancy, software/equipment, and internal manpower. EDGE, announced at Budget 2026, consolidates EDG, PSG, and MRA into one activity-based scheme launching in the second half of 2026. Eligibility and support levels remain subject to Enterprise Singapore's assessment.

01

Key takeaways

  • EDG remains open until EDGE launches in the second half of 2026.
  • EDG supports up to 50% of qualifying project costs for SMEs and up to 30% for non-SMEs as of June 2026.
  • EDGE consolidates EDG, PSG, and MRA, but several detailed rules are not yet officially confirmed.
  • Projects must not begin before grant approval; Vectasense does not guarantee grant outcomes.

02

What does the EDG cover?

The Enterprise Development Grant supports projects under three pillars: Core Capabilities, Innovation & Productivity, and Market Access. Qualifying costs can include third-party consultancy, software and equipment, and internal manpower. As of June 2026, SMEs may receive support of up to 50% of qualifying project costs, while non-SMEs may receive up to 30%. Sustainability-related projects can receive up to 70% support until 31 March 2026.

What changes under EDGE?

EDGE (Enterprise Development & Growth Enhancement) was announced at Budget 2026, delivered on 12 February 2026. It consolidates the EDG, PSG, and MRA grants into a single activity-based application and launches in the second half of 2026. Existing grants remain open until EDGE launches.

Several EDGE specifics are not yet officially confirmed, including precise support percentages for non-internationalisation activities and whether the EDG consultant-certification requirement carries over.

04

Do you need a certified consultant?

Under the EDG, management-consultancy projects require consultants with Singapore Accreditation Council-accredited TR 43 or SS 680 certification. Whether this rule carries into EDGE is not yet confirmed. Do not assume any consultant is eligible for a grant-supported consultancy project until the certification status and current Enterprise Singapore requirements are confirmed.

How can an AI strategy project fit?

An AI strategy or digital transformation project may fit if it has a clear business objective, credible scope, defined outcomes, and qualifying costs under the relevant grant rules. Vectasense's 13-stage pipeline naturally produces the kind of evidence-cited scope and measurement structure that a serious transformation project needs, but grant approval is still Enterprise Singapore's decision.

06

What should you do before applying?

  • Define the business objective and the project scope before discussing vendors.
  • Do not start the project, sign a binding contract, or make payment before approval.
  • Confirm whether the project is management consultancy and whether consultant certification applies.
  • Use the Business Grants Portal with CorpPass and follow Enterprise Singapore's current instructions.
  • Keep a clear measurement plan so the project can prove its impact after delivery.
